Jim Herlihy

This book contains the names of all 12,566 members of the Dublin Metropolitan Police as recorded in the Numerical Register of Service. Each entry provides information on: surname, Christian name, DMP number, year of birth, and civil parish of birth.

Jim Herlihy, a retired member of the Garda Síochána and a co-founder of the Garda Síochána Historical Society, has worked on these sources for many years. His many previous publications include Royal Irish Constabulary officers: a biographical dictionary and genealogical guide, 1816–1922 (2005), The Royal Irish Constabulary: a short history and genealogical guide (1997) and The Irish Revenue Police (2018).
